Healing and after care

Healing Process for Brow Treatments

The healing process will vary per individuals; as will result. The following instructions can help achieve optimal healing, but can NOT guarantee results.

DAY 1-3

The treatment areas will appear to be dark and more prominent. Do not be concerned, this is not permanent and it is part of the process. Minor swelling and redness may appear right after treatment. You may experience mild tenderness, this is absolutely normal.

DAY 3-5

You may experience itchiness in the treatment areas. Your eyebrows may appear thicker in texture. Natural exfoliation may begin ("The Ugly Phase") Do not worry! This is part of the healing. DO NOT PICK, PEEL OR SCRATCH AT ANY DRY AREA.

DAY 5-7

The treatment areas will begin to scab and flake. DO NOT pull/pick/peel off any flaking!!! The color may fade up to 40%, it is part of natural exfoliation. Wait at least 6-8 weeks to see the true color, as only after this period that your touch up/adjustment can be done. Some uneven color is expected after scabbing has flaked off. This is the purpose of touch-up treat to fine tune your brow enhancement.

DAY 7-10

The treatment areas finish the flaking process and new skin may appear softer and less visible for a few weeks. The color will slowly reappear from 3 to 6 weeks of healing.

Daily Care for the next 7 Days

After care: For 7 days following application of permanent make-up procedures.

-Do not touch the healing areas with your fingers as they may contain bacteria & will cause infections.

-Wash with gentle soap starting from the FIRST day right before bed.

-Wash GENTLY in the direction of hair, moving & night for 10 days. Please do this OUTSIDE of the shower with cool water. Apply bam after you have rinsed brows & dried them with a clean paper towel.

-Apply After Balm with a cotton swab twice a day starting from the 3rd day until the treatment areas are healed. (Do not use your fingertips)

-No make-up, tinting on lashes or brows, sun, soap, sauna, Jacuzzi, swimming in chlorine pools or in any recreational bodies of water, contact with animals, or gardening for 7 to 10 days (until treatment areas are completely healed) post procedure and after all touch-ups.

-Before bathing, gently apply a light coating of Aquaphor Healing Cream on the treatment areas with a clean cotton swab. Continue this process until the treatment areas are completely healed.

-Do not rub or traumatize the treatment areas during the healing process this may remove pigment with crusting tissue. Use "Total Sun Block" after the treatment areas are healed to prevent future fading of pigment color.

-Do not use products that contain AHA's such as Glycolic and/or Lactic Acids on the treatment areas. These will fade your pigment color.

-Sleep on Satin pillowcase during the healing process.

-Permanent make-up procedures are affected by the canvas (your skin) that they are preformed on, if your skin is sun damaged, thick and uneven in texture, or excessively dry or oily you will not get perfect results after the initial procedure.

-If you experience any itching swelling, blistering or any other complication post procedure, stop using the products and call your technician immediately as you may be allergic to the after-care product you are using. -If you have excessive redness, swelling or tenderness or any red streaks going from the treatment areas towards the heart, elevated temperature, or purulent drainage from the treatment areas, contact your physician immediately as the treatment areas may be infected, and you may need to seek medical care.

-If you have any question or concern, please do not hesitate to contact Platinum Beauty at (916)300-0039

Failure to follow these instructions may result in pigment color fade or loss. All permanent make-up procedures require aftercare.

RESULTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED

Healed results will vary with each individual client. The final shape is completely your decision, and the treatment will not begin until you approve the shape. While strictly adhering to the aftercare instructions is crucial, we have no control over the healing process and make NO GUARANTEES of how the healed results will look. The average of two treatments is enough to obtain a natural result, but using a pencil or powder may still be necessary to achieve your desired brow. Individuals who are looking for a more intense result must understand that it may require additional sessions (charged accordingly).

Our Policies

Permanent cosmetics does not replace makeup. Powder or pencil makeup may still be needed to achieve desired darkness or boldness. This is a "low maintenance" not "no maintenance" type of procedure.
Results vary per each client based on pre-care diligence, skin type, health, immune system, lifestyle, aftercare, and the amount of existing brow hair.
Different services are best suited for different clients for various reasons (i.e. skin type, lifestyle, age, amount of existing brow hair, etc.). Some clients may not be a candidate for their initial requested service. Platinum Beauty Esthetics only recommends, and will provide, the service that is best for each individual client.
Touch ups are required to achieve desired results and are charged by timeframe. Depending on the current state of the brows and desired results, more than one touch up may be needed. Additional touch ups will be charged accordingly.
A $50-$100 non-refundable deposit is required when booking. This is applied toward the total treatment fee.
Once the deposit is submitted, I will assume you have reviewed all policies, consent forms, precare/aftercare instructions, and contraindication/disqualification list. If for whatever reason we are not able to proceed due to a disqualification, the deposit will remain non-refundable. NO EXCEPTIONS
Please give 3 days notice (72 hours) if you must reschedule your appointment. Rescheduling is allowed one time only.
If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may need to be cancelled. In order for me to stay on schedule, and to value my other client's times, please notify me as soon as you know you will be arriving late.
Any client that no-shows without giving any notice will be charged 50% of the value of their appointment.
If you leave the salon without paying in full you will be charged an additional $100 late fee for not paying prior to leaving the salon. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Platinum Beauty does not offer any type of refund. NO EXCEPTIONS
A doctor's note must be provided by any client that has a serious medical condition. Platinum Beauty will not be held liable.
Any client that arrives with any of the contraindications or inflamed skin around the procedure area (rash, sunburn, cold sores, etc.) will have to forfeit the deposit and be sent home.
No kids, guests, or pets.

It is the client's responsibility to review all policies, consent forms, precare/aftercare instructions, contraindications, and to notify me via text if there is a possible contraindication. If I do not hear from you, I will assume that everything has been reviewed and there are no issues. Deposits are 100% NON-REFUNDABLE.
